Javanese folk art grows in rural culture of Java, and has become a tradition although it is marginalized by modernity now. Javanese folk art includes a variety of themes, styles, motifs, patterns and functions. It usually made by wood, bamboo, metal, leather, clay, textile, glass, and natural or synthetic pigment as a medium. It represents local culture and folklore such as legend, myth, fairy tale, philosophy, Islamic traditions, and also Mahabharata and Ramayana epic.
